FSSAI for your business

FSSAI Licence for Cloud Kitchens

A cloud kitchen — delivery-only, no dine-in — must hold a valid FSSAI licence both to operate legally and to list on Swiggy, Zomato and other aggregators. CAREALL confirms whether you need Basic Registration or a State Licence and files it for you.

Common problems we solve

  • You cannot go live on Swiggy or Zomato without a valid FSSAI number.
  • Multiple brands from one kitchen still need the FSSAI to cover every product.
  • Choosing the wrong category (Basic vs State) causes rejections and delays.

Frequently asked questions

Which FSSAI licence does a cloud kitchen need?

Most cloud kitchens operating in a single state under ₹1.5 crore turnover need only an FSSAI Basic Registration. A State Licence applies once turnover is between ₹1.5 crore and ₹50 crore, and a kitchen running across more than one state needs a Central Licence. CAREALL confirms the right category before filing.

Can I list on Swiggy or Zomato without an FSSAI licence?

No. Swiggy and Zomato require a valid FSSAI registration or licence number before your cloud kitchen can go live on their platform. You must obtain the FSSAI first.
